July 2010 - Summer in the USA
The heat of summer is upon us here in the U.S., which brings to mind the element of Fire. In my spiritual training, fire is the element that comes into the creative cycle at the end. As we well know, fire causes great change wherever it has its way. What was once a beautiful or ugly object is changed to its most elemental substance when fire gets through with it. When metal is heated up to the point of being a liquid, the dross comes to the surface and nothing but the pure element is left. I’m writing about the physical level of change that takes place with a fire, but there are other levels to consider as well. When change is in the Wind of Spirit, it affects mental and emotional levels of experience as well as the physical. You might have experienced mental change brought on by some catastrophic experience that usually includes the emotional aspect of your being, too. For instance, it could be a life threatening disease, like the one I have been working with for the past 11 years. Having to consider one’s exit from this world has a great impact upon how one experiences life in whatever time one has left on this earth. What was once so important, such as a career or possessions, all of a sudden drastically changes when one receives a death sentence. This is just one example. The loss of a loved one or many loved ones like what occurred with the earthquake in Haiti or with Tsunamis in other parts of the world, has a major effect on life in one’s future. Experiences like this wipe clean one’s consciousness, as well as, emotionally, how one sees one’s world in the future. Many acts of Nature bring the fire of change with them. A most concrete example is with fire itself. Some of the more recent fires in Southern California have totally wiped clean what was once beautiful in the natural world, as well as, destroying many dwellings and property. Loss of property and life has an immense influence on the consciousness and emotional body of people worldwide.
The fire of change is inevitable. People in general fear it. From a spiritual standpoint, it is a blessing. We often hear of the Fire of Love. You might remember the story in the Bible of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. King Nebuchadnezzar put them in the fiery furnace but due to their faith in God, the fire had no impact upon them. Fire gets rid of what doesn’t belong. Our love for the Creator can cause us to let go of past experiences so that the Truth of Love can have its way with us. We can become totally new in thought and feeling. The body will most often come along with these changes. “Trial by fire”, as it is often referred to can occur easily as we trust and let the Truth be the change we welcome into our life. The Water of Truth will soothe a feverish brow.
Living a life of attunement brings about the fire of change. It allows the old to pass away in an easy way, so the newness of change can appear. It all happens in due season so that debris doesn’t build up to the point of a catastrophic happening.
We have attunement practitioners that will assist a person to release blockages so more drastic measures don’t have to be taken to help one return to a balanced way of life. Give me a call and I’ll tell you more.
Blessings,
Xavier Ambrose
